At Hartland Oaks, every animal has a story—and Charm’s is one of strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit.
Recently, our beloved goat Charm suffered a serious injury resulting in a broken leg. After consulting with our veterinary team at Brazoria Veterinary Clinic and exploring every possible treatment, we made the decision to bring her home to recover in a safe and loving environment. Though she has handled the injury with incredible grace, it has left her with a permanent disability.
Because of this, we officially transferred Charm from Hartland Oaks LLC to Hartland Oaks Sanctuary & Education Center, our nonprofit arm dedicated to providing lifelong care to animals with special needs, medical conditions, or difficult pasts.
Charm will now live out her days as a cherished ambassador for compassion and healing. She’ll remain an active part of our community outreach, greeting guests, enjoying snuggles, and teaching both children and adults that value is never defined by ability.
Your past donations helped us get Charm the care she needed, and we thank you deeply. If you’d like to support Charm's continued care—or the care of other sanctuary animals like her—you can visit our donation page.
Charm may walk a little differently now, but she walks with purpose… and a whole lot of heart.
—With gratitude, The Hartland Oaks Family
